How PayPal fees work

When using goods and services as your PayPal payment option, there are fees involved.


Why is this important to know? If a seller or group order manager allows you to pay with goods and services, they will probably (most likely) ask you to cover the fee that is involved so they aren't losing money. This is also important to know if you're selling or hosting a group order and want to know how the PayPal fees work.


The PayPal fee structure is based on the percentage of the transaction and fixed currency fee. It'll look something like this: X% + fixed currency fee = total fee you have to pay.


I hate math, there is an easier way to calculate (although it is NOT always perfect). There is a PayPal fee calculator that allows you to can input the payment information and it will calculate for you.
