How to create a group chat

Here's how to create a group chat on Instagram:

1. While on Instagram, click the direct message button on the top right-hand corner of your screen

2. Click the create new chat button in the top right-hand corner (looks like a pencil and paper)

3. Start typing the names of the people you want to add to the group chat

4. Once you have everyone added, hit the word “chat” on the upper right-hand side.

Once you have created the group chat and get a message sent, you can add a name to the group chat.

To do this, look at the top of your screen and it’ll show where you can add a name! Having a name makes searching for the group chat easier and keeps things more organized.
