There are a few things you need supplies wise to get started.
Penny sleeves
Top loaders
Washi tape
Cards with envelopes
Stamps
You can explore your local card shops / Walmart / Target to find some of these supplies, but I have found that Amazon has ended up being the easiest and cheapest option!
This is the list of supplies that we use personally - we've experimented with different brands/suppliers but weren't happy with the cost for the quality.
Penny sleeves: There are so many options on Amazon for penny sleeves. I recommend the brands BCW and Ultra Pro, they do the job and are relatively cheap! If you want to get all fancy, there's so many different brands and designs - choose what is best for you!
Top loaders:
3x4 (standard size everyone uses for photocards) this one comes with sleeves!
3.5x5 (great for mini pcs and some larger photocards)
4x6 (great for postcards and 4x6 photos)
Cards with envelopes:
4x6 (great for mailing standard photocards and mini pcs)
5x7 (great for mailing postcards and 4x6 photos)
Washi tape:
I get my washi tape at hobby lobby when they're running their 50% sales, so it ends up only being $10! You get a good number of rolls, and the rolls have a good amount of tape on them!
Stamps: We have a whole section dedicated to stamps and all the different types available on the main page. Go check it out!
